The Beth-El Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Milford, Connecticut. We provide emergency shelter, meals, and support services to individuals, families, and veterans experiencing homelessness and hunger. Serving 13 municipalities in the shoreline and lower Naugatuck Valley area, we offer case management to help residents achieve self-sufficiency and permanent housing. Our mission is to extend dignity and respect to all individuals and families while connecting them to housing, food and support services.

The Yacht Lobsters

The companies and individuals who sponsored our 2026 Yacht Lobsters Concert on September 11th helped us raise awareness of the incredible work happening at Beth-El Center every day… 24/7… in our Community Kitchen, Emergency Shelter, Outreach & Engagement, Supportive Housing, Diversion Services, and Extreme Weather Services.

The Beth-El Center is conducting a feasibility study focused on piloting a homesharing program for Connecticut, starting in Woodbridge and Milford.

Currently active in 55 communities across the country, homesharing enables two or more unrelated people to share housing for their mutual benefit. A person offers a private bedroom and shared common area in exchange for rent, help around the house, or a combination of the two. Homesharing reduces a homeowner’s costs of carrying their home while expanding the availability of affordable housing.

Join us on Saturday, October 31st for our 15th Annual Trick or Trot!

Runners and Walkers of all ages are invited to participate in this 3.2 mile scenic route through downtown Milford. Put on your favorite costume, lace up your sneakers, and get ready to run or walk for your favorite cause…

Check-in begins at 7:30AM, the Kids Fun Run starts at 8:30AM and the 5K shotgun start is at 9:00AM.

As always, all proceeds benefit the programs and services of Beth-El Center to support those experiencing hunger and homelessness in the Greater Milford Area.

And this year is going to be extra special… as it is actually happening on Halloween!
